Ricki woke up in his own house. In his own room. In his own bed. Puzzled. He couldn’t seem to wrap his head around what was going on. He searched the room for something. Or someone. He saw Saelac standing in the doorway, motionless. Ricki tried to say something, only to open his mouth, and no sound coming out. Only a thick purple haze escaped his mouth. No sound. He clasped his hands over his mouth.  As he performed the action, Saelac walked over to the bed, with something colorful in his hands. Ricki tried to muster up a ‘hi’, but to no prevail. Saelac seemed greyer than usual. Then, he held out the colorful object, and thrust it onto the bed. They were flowers. Poppies, to be exact. They didn’t fall on to the bed; they floated dreamily onto the covers. Ricki held his hand out to catch them, only to have them turn to ashes upon contact with his skin.
Then, he was interrupted by  an ear-shattering screeching noise, blasting though his skull and piercing his thoughts, forcing his head upward. The walls peeled way like the skin of an orange, revealing a monstrous mass of Zoroark. They all shared one mutant, disturbing body, that looked like someone took a bunch of Zoroark and somehow melted their bodies together. Their heads were exposed, one head was especially pronounced upon the mangled body.
It was the head of the Zoroark who’s neck he’d broken. A dull, yet overwhelming sense of panic spread over his body. The tried to run, but the pain in his side hit him again, rendering his escape. Despite the pain, he yanked the covers away and got ready to run, only to find a rather unpleasant surprise; a thick wooden stake had been lodged into his side.
The Zoroarks rose unrealistically high above Ricki, then, the wall of Zoroarks began to fall. Descending from the great height, and down they fell. They had their sights set on Ricki.  Ghastly arms outstretched to claim him. Ricki was in panic.
He did the only thing he could do.
He relaxed his body and slipped out of the covers and through the stake,
Melted through the floor boards,
Dripped through the dirt,
And finally
Seeped through the walls of an awaiting coffin.
High above the coffin was Saelac and company.
Stooped over a weathered tombstone.
And on that tombstone
Sloppily written
And barely legible

RICHARD.
