m8 part 8- DEAR SAELAC (p1 of 2)Shroomsworth paced angrily back and forth with his hands behind his back. That atrocious Anana better not come around here again! I’ve had just about enough of her! His thoughts were interrupted when his toe hit and obstacle, sending him face-first into the wooden flooring.
He stood up, infuriated, and peered down at the object. A wooden box. Formally filled to the brim with letters from teammates trapped in the past. Out of frustration, he kicked the box across the floor. Further injuring his toe. The box slid a couple of feet into the wall; while it didn’t hit the wall hard, it hit it hard enough to break the box open. Stupid thing. He grumbled to himself.
A white piece of stationary slipped away from its wooden prison.
Saelac sat leaned against the water fountain. The cold water in the pool of the fountain chilled its walls off perfectly so. He sat comfo
m8 part 7- COLD HARD TRUTH.Ricki’s eyes popped open, filling them with a blinding light. He felt a mattress underneath him- could he still be dreaming? The world around him looked white for a split second. Ricki squinted. Then, as his eyes began to adjust, colors and shapes became distinct. He knew where he was now. The rows of grey, worn cots with iron frames lined the sides of the hall-like room. The pungent smell of rubbing alcohol and a wide array of ointments and medical pastes stuck to the air like fly paper. The sound of busy nurses heels clacking against the linoleum made it apparent where he was. He was in some sort medical wing. And he was the patient. He tried to lift up the covers to make sure there wasn’t still a stake in his side; but upon lifting his arm, was overwhelmed with a terrible feeling of pain, nausea, and fatigue all at the same time. His arm dropped and he felt absolutely horrible. He tried to hold any feeling of nausea back, to making sure not to cause a scene. He felt his
m8 part 6- NIGHTMARESRicki woke up in his own house. In his own room. In his own bed. Puzzled. He couldn’t seem to wrap his head around what was going on. He searched the room for something. Or someone. He saw Saelac standing in the doorway, motionless. Ricki tried to say something, only to open his mouth, and no sound coming out. Only a thick purple haze escaped his mouth. No sound. He clasped his hands over his mouth. As he performed the action, Saelac walked over to the bed, with something colorful in his hands. Ricki tried to muster up a ‘hi’, but to no prevail. Saelac seemed greyer than usual. Then, he held out the colorful object, and thrust it onto the bed. They were flowers. Poppies, to be exact. They didn’t fall on to the bed; they floated dreamily onto the covers. Ricki held his hand out to catch them, only to have them turn to ashes upon contact with his skin.
Then, he was interrupted by an ear-shattering screeching noise, blasting though his skull and piercin
m8 part 5 (present)- PLAY DATE (p2)It got darker as the trio trudged on. Saelac felt surprisingly lonely, despite his company of two. He didn’t know what it was about the forest’s dark ambiance. The darkness seemed to be closing in on him. like it was following him. He sworn it was so. He wanted to run away, and be anywhere but there. He was so uneasy, and jittery. Being afraid wasn’t going to help anything though. Is it getting to be nighttime, or is it just dark in this forest? The light faded.
“Alright fellas!” said Lexy.
“We’ve reached our destination!”
Lexy blindly felt around the base of a tree, then plopped himself down next to a root, then gestured for them to sit. Not that they could see him in the intense darkness. Saelac squinted.
“Um, where, exactly? I can’t quite see.”
Lexy groaned and dropped his ears, then took them both by the hand.
“Ugh, pay attention would ya?
He yanked them down into the sitting position next to him. S
M8 part 4- SNAPRicki stared at the ground.
Sigh… nothing made any sense. He didn’t know where he was. Where Saelac was. Or what could possibly be… ailing him. That should be addressed first. “First”, he thought “I should address my symptoms .let’s see here… I’ve been dog-tired for days… I-I think I have a fever… and my side hurts like mad. Maybe it has something to do with my intestines. What a funny-sounding word! Ha-ha…intestines! GAH! Focus Ricki, FOCUS!” he peered upwards at the rest of the party. Looks like he had already fallen behind again. His pupils fell back towards the ground, and glared at the dirt and rubble.
He looked ahead. They were gone. Vanished. Disappeared. All of the sudden, he was alone. A light rain began to fall as he became more and more disoriented. Worry was building up inside of him. searching and yelping, looking for something familiar, or someone he knew. No one. Not a soul in sight
